‘Think Pink’ for Ennis Fashion Week

DETAILS have just been announced of Ennis Fashion Week 2012 which will take place from Monday 22 to Sunday 28 October.
This year Ennis Fashion Week is partnering with the Irish Cancer Society in promoting awareness of their GettheGirls.ie campaign for Action Breast Cancer. The Irish Cancer Society relies on voluntary donations to fund its services. It is the leading provider of cancer information, advice and support on all aspects of breast cancer,

and funds raised from Get the Girls events and activities will be used for their breast cancer services – namely breast cancer information, patient support services and cutting edge research projects.
Those attending Ennis Fashion Week events or visiting participating businesses during the week are encouraged to wear some hint of pink to show their support for Action Breast Cancer. Participating businesses will display a pink merchandising box with ribbons, pins and key rings for purchase.
In addition to many in-store events, there will be a number of headline events for Ennis Fashion Week 2012, most of which are free to attend. The full line up is:

The Health & Wellness Evening, sponsored by Duffy’s Pharmacy and taking place on Wednesday 24 is a popular event in the Ennis Fashion Week calendar with hundreds of (mainly women) attending the event each year.
This year’s will have talks and information by guest speakers on health and wellness issues affecting women and is free to attend. Health and beauty industry companies and brands as well as fashion accessories will have stands showcasing their products or services. Businesses will provide free demonstrations or samples of their products or services on the night as well as a raffle for great prizes.
The ‘Exposed’ Fashion Show on Saturday 27 is aimed bringing the ladies, mens and children’s fashions available in Ennis to the street. This is a unique series of fashion shows professionally co-ordinated by Tess Purcell’s Coast Model Management, which will showcase the best of what Ennis’s boutiques have to offer.
The fashion show will take place in a venue in Ennis that has yet to be announced and will be free to the public.
The very first Clare and Irish Fashion Designers Showcase will take place on Thursday October 25 in Rowan Tree Café Bar, Harmony Row as part of Ennis Fashion Week.
This show aims to promote up and coming Clare based as well as Irish designers with Coast Model Management. Tickets cost €25 and are available from Ennis Chamber and Rowan Tree Café Bar.

As a final hurrah for Ennis Fashion Week, shops in Ennis will be open from 1pm-5pm on Sunday October 28 to give customers an opportunity to purchase the amazing fashions they have seen throughout the week. For further information on events and udates, check out www.ennisfashion.ie.
