MID-WEST businesses will have a unique opportunity to get key insights from some of the leading and emerging trade partners in Ireland’s €92bn export market in Raheen on October 4.
The Irish Innovation Showcase, at Dell’s Raheen campus, will accommodate 16 embassies who will be on hand to provide vital information for Irish exporters and, indeed, importers, seeking to develop business with international markets.
Among the embassies will be four of Ireland’s top five trading partners – the UK, Belgium, Germany and France – plus emerging markets like Malaysia, Mexico, Poland, Argentina and Ukraine.
One lucky company could walk away with a prize worth €25,000 from a ‘Dragon’s Den’ style competition.
Upwards of 150 companies will have a presence.
They will be in with a chance of securing a seed capital injection of €15,000 from LIT’s Enterprise Ladder Fund, plus a range of consultancy services worth €10,000, in the ‘Pitchcrawl’ competition.
Up to 10 companies will be selected to pitch to a panel of judges for three minutes in the morning session.
The judges will shortlist three companies who will then receive coaching from an expert before pitching again in front of members of the public for the grand prize.
LIT Enterprise Development and Business Liaison manager Gillian Barry, said: “This is a really attractive opportunity for startup or early stage companies and at a time when this type of funding and advice can make such a difference”.
