Dear Donn,
I recently attended the Charity Cup Final at Thomond Park. Great Stadium, Great Charity, Great Price. Now, the problem. Why on earth did everyone have to use the East Stand, two flights of stairs up?
The average person going to the Charity Cup matches are terrace people. I was surprised to see, from a safety point of view, older people struggling up and down steps, while small children ran around unattended.
The atmosphere was awful and to finish it all off, it was the worst presentation of a trophy I have ever seen. Mr Cantwell of Thomond Park, please reply.

Dear Donn,
I have attended Thomond Park since 1977. I think I could say I have seen it all. I attended Munster’s first home match on Friday night. There was no food available inside the ground and a photographer was constantly in our way as the teams entered and exited the arena. The next afternoon, at the Charity Cup final, was not much better. The crowd was locked into the highest section of the East Stand. This was awkward for the 100’s of OAP’s in attendance.
Then the public announcer kept getting the scores wrong, much to the amusement of the crowd. To cap it all, the Munster Branch presented the cup to the winning team, in front of the West Stand. Away from all the supporters. This was very unprofessional from the Munster Branch.

For some readers however, it was not a happy day at Thomond Park
