50 Shades Girly Party is sure to sell-out

50 Shades of Grey has been the reading sensation of the year selling more than 40 million copies. The combination of old fashioned romance spiced with BDSM has made the book the fastest selling adult paperback novel in history according to online booksellers Amazon and Limerick girls have thrown off the shackles of embarrassment, cast aside inhibitions and embraced the domineering Christian Grey and the naive Anastasia Steele.

ADULT fun shop, Thelma and Louise has announced a night for the ladies based on the best-seller and tickets are going fast.
Fifty Shades of Thelma and Louise’s’ Ladies’ Night will be a, “fun filled night of entertainment and laughs” for all the girlies according to the shop’s owner Sharon Tucker. The night is being hosted in Clohessy’s/Sinbin on Friday August 31 and all proceeds from the event are going to charity.
Sharon Tucker told Limerick Post, “Expect some great girly fun. A lot of the girls are wearing fancy dress, I have a dozen real nurses that are coming along dressed as nurses. Gays are welcome but no hetrosexual men are allowed.”
There will be goodie bags with surprises based on the 50 Shades theme, male dancers, a drag queen and Visage Hair and Living Art Tattoo Studio have provided gift vouchers as prizes.
Entertainment comes from the Ultimate Male Elite Kissograms from Dublin with lots of goodie bags and spot prizes and party games based on 50 Shades of Grey. The night kicks off at 9.30pm with offers on cocktails and beers with some special guests dropping in to join in the fun before the show moves onto the Sinbin Nightclub.
The success of 50 Shades has been good for business for the Adult Fun Store too, Sharon explains, “I’m very busy, I’ve had to take on extra staff. Women are coming in a looking for the items mentioned in the book, I’m ordering in triple the amount of toys to keep up with demand. In the last week and a half we have gone through 144 handcuffs already. It has opened up womens’ curiosity. I’d say that people that never read books are reading this.”
The party is a charity event with two charities chosen by Sharon and Peter Clohessey benefiting. Sharon has chosen Pieta House while Peter’s choice is Simon Community.
The 50 Shades of Thelma and Louise Party is a ticket only event. Thelma and Louise’s Adult Fun Store on Lower Shannon Street, Limerick is the place to pick up tickets.
