With four home games and three away games remaining, the ‘SuperBlues’ are a shoe-in for promotion back to the top flight.
This Saturday night, Limerick travel to Finn Harps before playing two home games in a row against Waterford and Mervue.
Indeed, the Waterford United game could be the season clincher. Should the gap remain the same after this weekend’s games, Limerick, with a win over their Munster rivals, would be nine points clear with five games to go.
Speaking this week Limerick Manager Pat Scully added, “We had a good win again last Friday night against Wexford, We kept playing and got the result we needed in the end with a 3-1 victory. It will be the same against an excellent Finn Harps team on Saturday night, nothing will come easy in this fixture and Harps are unbeaten in their last six games. We must focus on our own performance and if we do that, we will get the result we need.”
