AREAS of the Mid West, South and West of the country are being warned against a severe weather that is forecast to hit parts of Ireland tomorrow. Met Eireann says that a storm due to hit this Wednesday is part of an unseasonally low pressure band that is heading towards the country and this could be as bad as Huricane Charlie that hit the country in 1986.
The forecast includes 110km/h winds with torrential rain of up to 50ml expected. Higher and more mountanous areas could expect more while localised flooding is also running at a strong possibility.
Areas of Munster and east Leinster are expected to be hit most while the country will be beset by strong gale force easterly winds for 24 hours.
