Hurling quarter finalists now known

-

THE quarter final pairings for the Live95fm Sponsored County Senior Hurling Championship are now known. The ties which have been fixed for week ending August 26 will see a repeat of last year’s final, as Na Piarsaigh take on Ahane.

The ties, which are printed below, are mouth watering in their make up. Aside from a repeat of the Daly Cup showpiece from last year, near rivals Croom and Kilmallock will face off. In another massive clash, Adare will take on Patrickswell. A tie that will evoke memories of classic encounters of years gone by. The final tie will see Emmets, the only side to have already qualify before last weekend, take on Garryspillane.
The relegation semi finals will see Doon face Bruree, while South Liberties will face Murroe/Boher to avoid a fight for the drop.
The Nick Greene County intermediate hurling championship has also reached the last eight. These games are also fixed for the week ending August 26.
Knockaderry will face much fancied Ballybrown, whlle Dromin/Athlacca will face Monaleen in another massive clash.
Again, as per the senior grade, four teams will be looking to avoid relegation to the junior ranks. Glenroe will face Caherline, while Ballybricken/Bohermore will face former City stalwarts Claughaun. Full details of the ties, including the county cup, are below.
