The Super Blues, currently second in the Airtricity First Division, take on current Premier league champions and stars of Europe from last season, Shamrock Rovers at 8pm.
Speaking ahead of this weekend’s glamour tie, Limerick FC manager Pat Scully was in confident mood.
“We came through a hard game with Athlone Town last Friday, the players showed great character to find the winner after Athlone equalized. We had chances to make that game safe and these are the opportunities we cannot afford to miss against Shamrock Rovers this weekend. We are looking forward to the challenge of pitting ourselves against the best and if we play as we can, we will do ourselves and our support proud.”
Limerick FC will be without the service of Denis Behan who is suspended for this game, while Dom Foley and Cian Collins are both out through injury.
With Limerick and Shamrock Rovers both expected to be at full strength, this is a must see game for all Super Blues fans. The pitch at the Tallaght stadium is a dream to play on and with Limerick showing great form away from home all season, a shock is on the cards.
Finally, an official supporters club bus to Tallaght Stadium leaves Arthur’s Quay park @ 3.45pm this Friday May 25th
