LIMERICK FC face a Liverpool XI this coming Monday night at Jackman Park. Pat Scully’s side will take on a Liverpool reserve side in what promises to be a bumper night for Limerick FC on the gates.
(Tickets are on sale through the Club Office (061-324563), Limerick FC Official Shop in Arthurs Quay Limerick (061-323857) and online through Club Website (Ticketmaster).

On the domestic front, Limerick FC had a comfortable victory over Mervue last Friday evening with a 2-0 victory with two second half goals coming from Denis Behan and super sub Cian Collins.
The Galway side came to park the bus mentality and did quite well to deny their opponents many opportunities.
However, just before the interval Behan rose highest from a corner to break the deadlock. The three points were secured with only two minutes remaining when youngster Collins got on the end of a Behan flick on and showed maturity beyond his years to round the keeper and tap it home.
Scully’s men now lie in second spot, four points adrift of leaders Longford.
The Super Blues now travel to bottom side Salthill on Friday night coming. The coastal side, have yet to achieve victory this season with only three draws from ten games.
Pat Scully will have a full panel to choose from in what should be an easy contest. When you consider that Salthill have scored the least amount of goals this season in the league, Limerick should win a game that would mean a run of form could be about to begin for under pressure manager Scully.
Meanwhile, the draw for the quarter final of the EA Sports Cup has been made on RTE’s Monday Night Soccer show and it has produced three derby games. Sligo will face Derry City, Drogheda United clash with Dundalk in a Louth derby and St. Pat’s will host Shamrock Rovers. In the other tie, Bray Wanderers will take on Limerick in the Carlisle Grounds.
Limerick FC side that faced Cork: David Ryan, Shaun Kelly, Shane Tracy, Shane Guthrie (Corie Treacy), Pat Purcell, Joe Gamble, David O’Leary, Steven McGann, Denis Behan, Rory Gaffney, Derek O’Brien (Cian Collins). Subs not used: Garry Sheahan, Barry Ryan, James McGrath.
