Cross country garda chase in south Limerick

SOUTH Limerick area witnessed a huge garda operation-which included a garda helicopter and sniffer dogs-after a number of men were spotted acting suspiciously in the Kilmallock district, on this Tuesday evening.  According to gardai, the four occupants in the car were suspected of being involved in a break-in at a house in the Martinstown area. Gardai gave chase to the car in the direction of O’Rourke’s Cross, close to Bruree, and where a check-point had been set up.  

Later, the car was found abandoned between Ashford and Broadford.  A 23-year-old man was arrested and questioned by gardai.
