NOW in its 30th anniversary year, International dance Day brings dance and dancers together in celebration of dance. This Sunday April 29 dance artists will offer free classes and creative workshops to the Limerick dance and wider community throughout the whole day and showcase a variety of dance pieces in the evening showcase. The St. John’s Church will hold classes for the wider community in a range of styles for all ages and abilities.
The Daghdha studio space will hold specialist classes for ballet students of all ages and creative workshops for dance students with an interest in the creation and analysis of fusion choreography, with creative sessions in contemporary Irish dance and contemporary dance theatre. The day will consist of almost back to back classes and workshops from 10am to 3.30pm in St. John’s Church. The evening of performances will commence at 8pm at Daghdha Space on Sunday April 29.
