BASED in Crecora, across the road from the church, Stoneage has been in operation since 1989. “We are a high quality masonry company that supplies and fits stone walls, paving, decorative gravel, water features and bronze and brass elements such as deer,” explains manager PJ Hennessy. “Our showcase piece here is an 8ton Buddha in solid stone. Stoneage has paving in limestone, slate, granite, sandstone and mosaics are done to suit the customer”.
Supplying all builders’ stone is serious business for this hardworking firm that has managed to buck the recession.
PJ Hennessy emphasises that Stoneage is a one-stop-shop that will take project work from beginning to end. So if you would like to install a rockery with water feature and night lights, for example, call here.
“We do it all, landscaping the ground, design, drainage, the electrics and then the installation of the feature – crazy paving, a fountain, stone terrace, what ever. We also take responsibility for debris and clearance, and our initial quote for works is free’.

Open on a Tuesday to Saturday basis, 10am to 6pm, you arrive at Stoneage from the city by taking the M20 to Cork, take exit 4 for Limerick Racecourse and then first left, signposted Crecora.
