WE are fast approaching the time of year when Junior and Transition year students are forced to make decisions about subject choice for the Leaving Certificate. Often subjects clash on the timetable or particular subjects such as Applied Maths, Agricultural Science or even Physics may not be offered at all in school. Kilmartin Educational Services, Limerick and Ennis offers a wide range of additional subjects that can be taken on in order to maximise grades or satisfy university entry requirements.
These classes, beginning September 2012, are now enrolling and places are limited. Group tuition classes for students who need extra help in a particular subject are enrolling now, too. Kilmartin Educational Services, Limerick is also taking bookings for Supervised Study, commencing September 2012.
The annual fee for Supervised Study is ordinarily €800 but KES is offering an “early bird” rate of €600 if your place is booked before May 31. Students who book and pay for Supervised Study by the year can enjoy a number of perks. They will be entitled to half price Holiday Study and half price Revision Courses at both Christmas and Easter when booking five or more courses. For students sitting exams this year, Kilmartin Educational Services has a variety of tuition classes on offer.
Under principal Julie Kilmartin, pictured, staff provide upcoming Intensive Revision Courses and Oral Days at Easter as well as Supervised Study over the holiday period: “We also offer study skills seminars and Career Guidance sessions which may be of particular use to students who are making decisions about next year. Supervised Study is also offered after school each weekday and on Saturdays/Sundays.
“Pre-booking is essential for all classes and for Supervised Study”.
