THE Limerick hurlers take on Laois this Sunday at 2.30pm in Portlaois, in what is already, a must win game.

Limerick head into the game knowing that anything but a win will almost certainly end their chances of a final spot.
Speaking after the Clare defeat, Limerick hurling manager John Allen made all assembled media aware of the task at hand.

The Limerick hurling public will be hoping that Declan Hannon returns to the Limerick side. The young Adare star missed the Clare game.
Shane Dowling will once more lead the attack, while Kevin Downes might just play more of a part this weekend than he did coming off of the bench against the ‘Banner’.
Limerick have played Laois twice in the last decade. In the 2009 hurling qualifiers Limerick ran out 0-20 to 0-17 winners, while in 2005, in the qualifiers once more, Limerick won by a margin of nine points. 2-15 to 1-9. This stats prove that this weekend is going to be a tough battle for Limerick.
As with all Limerick teams in the past, one heavy defeat can seem like the end of the World and one good win can seem like a new dawn.
