Aircraft makes emergency landing at Shannon

AN EGYPT Air flight declared an emergency early this Monday morning as it’s passenger flight from New York to Cairo reported engine difficulties over the Mid Atlantic and landed at Shannon Airport.
Shortly after 4am the crew from the flight deck reported that the Boeing 777’s engines failed and emergency services at the Airport were put on standby.

Touching down safely shortly after 5am, all 181 passengers and crew were taken to local hotels as a replacement aircraft was flown out from Cairo to take them back to Egypt.
