Limerick are two from two following wins over Leitrim and London in rounds one and two. Clare, a second favourite with some bookies to gain promotion have won one and lost one from their opening encounters.
A win for Limerick on Sunday would put them on top of the table, where they sit currently with Fermanagh, the other 100% team in the league. A loss for Limerick of course, would bring them back into the early chasing pack in what is going to be a very tight division.
“There are so many good teams in this Division. We know what going to Ennis is all about. It is a very tough place to go and get any kind of result. As Limerick teams have learned in the past” commented Limerick manager Maurice Horan this week.
Limerick will still be without the services of midfield duo John Galvin and Jim O’Donovan. While Stephen Kelly, is a major doubt ahead of the Cusack Park fixture.
“Those lads that we are missing are a big loss, but the panel is very strong this year. We have won two games so far and we are in a good place at present in terms of injury. We know we need to keep winning as this year’s league is going to be a good indicator of there we stand” Horan continued.
Throw in at Cusack Park is at 2.30pm
