One week to go for ‘Blues’

-

LIMERICK FC kick off their new season Friday night week, the 2nd of March, at Jackman Park. The SuperBlues are red hot favourites for this season’s Airtricity League Division one title, with some people tipping them to go through the season unbeaten.

Following on from last weeks signings of Lubos Kalouda, and
Dawid Janczyk, Limerick this week received their First Division Licence from the FAI. Clearing the path for participation in this season’s league.
Limerick FC had applied for a Premier Division Licence. The Club is delighted that all criteria, except stadium infrastructure, were met. The Board and Management Committee look forward to being able to fulfil this criteria, which would allow us to take a place in the Premier Division in 2013.
Also, Limerick FC has reduced its Season Ticket prices for the 2012 Airtricity League First Division campaign.
This reflects the fact that fewer teams than were expected will contest the First Division and consequently there will be less home matches than originally anticipated.
In preparation for the opening game against Finn Harps on March 2nd, Limerick will play Drogheda United at Hunky Dorys Park, Drogheda this Satruday the 25th of February at 3pm.
Pat Scully’s side continued their pre-season preparations with a good two all draw before a good attendance at Bishopstown last Saturday evening.
