THE Newcastle West St. Patrickโs Day Parade is to follow on from the success of last year by again opting for March 18.
Businesses and organisations are encouraged to take part and to use the opportunity to promote themselves.
The decision to have the event on Sunday March 18 was first made two years ago, with a view to attracting a larger crowd, as no other parades are held in the county on that day.
Anyone wishing to help should contact Pat Whelan, Sรฉamus Hennessy, Ida Dunworth, Laurie Kelleher and Patrick OโDonovan.
The committee is hoping to present a small prize for the best float and the best presented business window or shop front in the town.
