LIMERICK band, Windings have been invited to play at Canadian Music Week in Toronto in March. After playing at the festival, the band plan to travel to Montreal and record the next album in the world famous Hotel2Tango studios, with Efrim Menuck (Godspeed You! Black Emperor) at the helm. Windings have initiated a Fund it campaign to cover the recording, mixing, mastering, and vinyl pressing costs of the new record. Singer Steve Ryan says, “We are very excited about our new material, and would relish the prospect of doing it justice by recording it in this studio, with such an accomplished producer.
Once completed, we hope to release the album on a limited run 12’ Vinyl Picture Discs, and as also a download.”

Windings upcoming single is a double A-sided 7” and download. It will be released on Wednesday February 15. It contains ‘The Hassle’ an infectious aggro pop number with lashings of squalling guitars and ‘The Space I Occupy’, an equally infectious, but less rabid, slice of dreamy folk pop. Windings play Bourkes Bar on Thursday March 1.
