Words That Burn
YOUTH of a Nation Promotions have reminded musiclimerick that Dundalk/Carrickmacross alt-rockers ‘Words That Burn’ take to the road for three dates across Munster this February. The trio got together recently through a mutual desire to create “raw, edgy and yet melodic music”. Some may know of the band members from their others bands including Sanzkrit and The End Again. For fans of Deftones and Tool. Words That Burn play The Blind Pig on Foxes Bow on Thursday February 16.

Current favourite to win the prize with Paddy Power Bookmakers is Cashier No 9 with the David Holmes produced album To The Death Of Fun (Bella Union) at 1/4. Worth a punt are very strong albums from And So I Watch You From Afar (12/1) and Tieranniesaur (8/1) while well established acts Jape is at 14/1 and Bel X1 are at 25/1.
Music Limerick’s choice of the list and tip for a win is We Cut Corners, Today I Realised I Could Go Home Backwards on Delphii Records currently at 11/2, worth a punt!! Though I am surprised that Marcata by The Minutes is not even on the shortlist.
