International fashion commentator and judge of the Hennessy Best Dressed Lady 2012, Godfrey Deeny commented in advance of the event, “I’d like to see a lot of practical panache. An emphasis on colour, hats with flair that actually stay on in a blustery wind and someone who is chic with brains. I’d love a great mix of Continental chic from the likes of Chanel, Prada, Marni and Lanvin and an injection of important young Irish talent. The likes of Umit Kutluk, John McCormack and JW Anderson, all mixed in with a little dash of elegant quirkiness. I will be looking for a lady who is ‘bien dans sa peau’ or ‘at ease in her own skin’, as they say in Paris.”
Ashling Kilduff, continues “This event highlights the best of Irish winter racing style and we look forward to selecting our winner for 2012”. Ashling also has some keys tips for potential entrants, “A hat or a headpiece is a must for racing! Don’t over accessorise, sometimes less is more and finally, be confident in yourself! Always remember that this [confidence] is an essential part of any winning look.”
