This coming Sunday, January 29, the Limerick Strand Hotel will host a wedding showcase from 12- 5pm with complimentary admission. On the day, an experienced wedding team will be on hand to showcase their two impressive suites which will be dressed to 4-star wedding standard, which include complimentary chair covers, coordinating bows and fairy light backdrop.
The Shannon Suite boasts natural daylight, a private terrace, two private bars and dining facilities to cater for 110-450 guests. For an intimate wedding of 60-110 guests the City View Suite on the sixth floor, boasts floor to ceiling windows and private balcony providing stunning romantic views of the city and River Shannon.
On the day, bubbly and canapés created by Chef Tom Flavin will be available for all on arrival. If that is not enough to entice you a select number of wedding exhibitors including limousine hire, cake suppliers, photographers, entertainment companies and florists will be present to help you coordinate every detail of your special day.
The hotel was recently delighted to learn that one of their three wedding coordinators, Carly Nevin (ne Kennedy), has been shortlisted for the very prestigious award of ‘Wedding Co-Ordinator of the Year’ in the Weddings Online 2012 Awards. Carly has been shortlisted from entries all over Ireland through a tough public vote. It is a tremendous accolade for the hotel and indeed for Carly personally.
Throughout 2011 the Limerick Strand Hotel has been the venue of choice for many Civil Partnerships in Limerick; the hotel is a HSE approved location for ceremonies and was proudly the first hotel in Munster to welcome a same sex partnership in the summer of 2011. On Sunday, one of their suites will also be dressed to showcase the ceremony layout so interested couples should pop along to the hotel between 12 and 5pm to get a real feel for the venue dressed for your wedding day!
