ROXBORO Road Gardai have arrested three people in relation to the murder of Ger McMahon on Lenihan Avenue on January 18 last.
All three were arrested this Monday morning January 23 in the Mungret area of Limerick. A man in his 30s along with a female in her 40s and a juvenile are all detained under provisions of Section 30 of Offences against the State act 1939. The three are being held at Henry Street, Mayorstone and Roxboro Road.
43-year-old Gerard McMahon was found at the steps of a house on Lenihan Avenue on January 18 last with multiple stab wounds. Paramedics alerted the Gardai shortly after midnight and Mr McMahon was brought to the Mid Western Regional Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
A postmortem was carried out as well as a technical examination of the area at the time and Gardai launched a murder investigation into the death.
