Joe spreads the net for further education

“This 50-year-old “epitomises what lifelong learning is about.”

REGARDED as an ambassador for adult education, Meelick man and Inspector responsible for training with Bus Eireann, Joe Coleman has been recognised by a third level college for his outstanding commitment to further education.

“I have always wanted to spread the net further as it were and Limerick College of Further Education (LCFE) has helped and assisted me in that to great effect,” he said.
With a dozen course under his belt in the last decade, Joe has been recognised as a great ambassador for adult education and indeed the college with Enda Finn, director of adult education at the Mulgrave Street campus saying that the 50-year-old Meelick man “epitomises what lifelong learning is about.
“Since 2002, Joe has chosen LCFE every year for his continuous professional development. Each course Joe has participated on he has put to good use in his own employment.”
Studies in HR development, frontline management, business communications, as well as a teachers diploma in ICT skills and health and safety course, Joe has given an outstanding commitment to his professional development in his role as an inspector responsible for training with Bus Eireann.
“It is the credibility of the college and the provision of an excellent service that has made me return each and every time,” he says
To that end, LCFE have rewarded Joe with his commitment to the college and offered him a complimentary place on one of their evening courses that commence on January 23.
