SINCE the start of the Summer 2011 Bunga Bunga has continued to provide an Ibiza terrace vibe in Bentley’s Courtyard, Limerick hosting such acts as Dashka, Smokingroove, Dean Newton, Reuben Keeney, Al Keegan, David De Valera, Conor Rainey and Dermot C to name a few. All guests have brought seriously bouncy beats and combined with the Bunga Bunga residents and revellers to create an amazing and unique atmosphere.
To mark the success so far in celebratory fashion this Christmas the Bunga Bunga crew, namely Bseven Events, are bringing one of Italy’s top DJ/producers, Luigi Rocca.
Turin based Luigi Rocca is a self-made producer and global travelling DJ who also co-runs three of the most exciting record labels to emerge from Italy in the past 10 years, namely, Hotfingers, Tuamotu and 303Lovers. With a back catalogue that stretches well beyond 200 releases, Luigi (also known as Marshall) has managed to reach virtually every corner of the electronic musical spectrum.
His releases have graced the Top 10 of various genre charts on Beatport. Both his singles ‘Voodoo’ and ‘Ezili Can’t Speak’ held the number 1 spot in Beatport’s Top 10 Minimal Chart upon their releases. One of Luigi’s tech house tracks ‘Liftered’ not only claimed the #1 spot but also went on to be nominated as “One of the best tracks of 2010” by Beatport.
2011 has brought collaboration work with Pleasurekraft and John Acquaviva. Luigi is on a world tour that has scheduled dates in Asia, South America and Europe which sees him landing in Bentley’s Courtyard on Friday December 23 for the Bunga Bunga Christmas party with residents Derek M and Darragh Flynn in support.
