THREE teenagers are to face trial at Limerick Circuit Court for the alleged aggravated robbery of a brothel that was operating at a city centre apartment in March of this year.
18-year-olds, Nicholas Matteo, of Kilteragh, Dooradoyle, Kenneth Clancy, also of Kilteragh, Dooradoyle and Andrew Ryan, with an address at Huntsfield, Dooradoyle, were served with Books of Evidence by Detective Garda Vincent Brick, at Limerick District Court last week.
The three are alleged to have been involved in the robbery of cash, laptops and mobile phones from the apartment at the Steeples, Upper William Street.
It is alleged that the one of the accused made an appointment at the brothel and upon entering the premises, left the door open for the other two to raid the apartment.
It is also part of the charge that knives were used in the burglary where the two women were alleged to have been bound during the incident.
The three also face a charge of the alleged theft of a mobile phone from a youth near Oakleigh Wood two hours after the alleged brothel raid.
The court heard heard that the three were to face trial on indictment on the incident at the next sitting of the circuit court and that they would have to notify the gardai of an alibis they wished to put forward within 14 days.
The matter was sent forward to the Circuit court and all three were assigned legal aid and afforded one counsel each.
