LIMERICK City Gallery of Art is opening three venues this Friday 23, closing down the off-site programme necessary during the renovation of Carnegie Building. Istabraq Hall will open from 5pm-8pm while Ormston House and the Carnegie Building, Pery Square will be open from 5pm-10pm.
Carnegie Building, 5pm:
Celebrate with a lively ‘Sing Out’, led by Liz Powell from the Association of Irish Choirs. Learn songs, vocal techniques and feel good.
Istabraq Hall, 6pm:
Curatorial tour of Convergence: Literary Art Exhibitions, 20 artists curated by Dr. Christa-Maria Lerm Hayes.
Ormston House, 7pm:
Friendly guided tour of exhibition of international artists influenced by writers such as James Joyce, Samuel Beckett and Flann O’Brien.
Carnegie Building, 8pm:
Architect John A. O’Reilly and project architect Hugh Murray will be available to show and tell about the new development at this landmark building.
