GRIFFITH College Limerick is offering three free courses through the Springboard programme. The application deadline is fast approaching on Wednesday August 24 so get your application in now. If you are currently unemployed and want to up-skill and jump-start your career, then these programmes are for you. All courses are part-time and your social welfare benefits will not be affected. Griffith College has designed these three programmes around the skills needed in the labour market and they are designed to get you closer to getting that job.
Two of the programmes focus on developing your IT skills:
* The Higher Diploma in Computing (Level 8) is designed to allow non-computing graduates to gain an IT qualification and become highly employable in the ICT sector.
* The Certificate in Computing Science (Level 6), prepares graduates for employment as IT technicians and equips them with a basic understanding of programming, software applications and a comprehensive skill set in computer hardware, routers, networking and data base management.
Another growth area for employment is with Small and Medium businesses:
* The Special Purpose Award in SME Management programme is ideal preparation for employment in an established small to medium sized company.
