Scottish singer/record producer Calvin Harris has been an ever present hit-maker in the charts since the release of his gold-selling debut album in 2007. Trad favourite Sharon Shannon is no stranger to these celebrations. She has regularly played Arthur’s Day and says, “It’s a pleasure every year. Arthur’s Day is a day when the streets stop, cities come alive with music, It’s a day not to missed.” Completing the line-up is electronic music inspired singer/songwriter Jamie Woon who featured in BBC’s Sound of 2011 critics poll and Dublin’s Royseven who’s catchy earworm, We Should Be Lovers has been ever present on the nation’s airwaves this summer. The Arthur’s Day celebrations happen on Thursday September 22 and all ticket proceeds will be added to the Arthur Guinness Fund, which is helping Irish social entrepreneurs deliver transformational change in communities all over Ireland.
