AN application to suspend a curfew was brought to Limerick District Court by solicitor John Devane on behalf of two clients, 50-year old Anthony Kelly, and his daughter 23-year-old Jessica, who were both charged, and on bail, with theft and burglary matters in April this year.
However, as the application was brought on behalf of the O’Malley Park father and his Castletroy based daughter, Inspector Seamus Ruane told the court that he “could advance matters to assist the court,” and asked for the charges to be struck out against the two.
Both were released from bail and the charges were dropped.
