Tina’s fundraising heads to €1m mark

THE intrepid Moyross fundraiser, Tina O’Gorman, is currently in rehearsal for her upcoming show in aid of the Friends of the Elderly.
Tina, who has been fundraising for charitable causes for 34 years, is now just €9,870 short of €1million, and hopes to raise a healthy sum for Limerick’s Friends of the Elderly with her Hawaiian Night, in the Pery Hotel, on Saturday, July 23, at 9pm.

“There will be a special appearance by Richard Lynch from “I Love Limerick,” and the drag sensation, Celine,” says Tina, who also promises numerous spot prizes, including a 42” Plasma TV.
Speaking with the dynamic mother of six daughters, four of whom are pictured with her in the accompanying photograph, Tina said she hopes to reach the €1million target before the end of the year.
“I will be organising the annual Fancy Dress for the cancer unit in the Regional Hospital and a gala ball for the MidWest Branch of Parkinson’s Ireland in November, and there are one or two other fundraisers – so, hopefully I will reach or even pass out the €1million target”.
