A 19-year-old man has been remanded in continuing custody to Limerick Prison by Judge Eamon O’Brien.
Gary Finnerty, from Grove Street, Crinkle, Birr Co Offaly, is charged in connection with a pipebomb attack in the city last month.
The accused, who had been living in the Murroe area of Limerick, was apprehended by gardai and found in possession of the device at Greenmount Avenue, Ballinacurra Weston, on May 15 last.
Gardai said that the device failed to detonate after it was thrown through the front window of a house shortly before midnight on the night in question.
The directions of the DPP were sought by gardai who continue to investigate the attack and its links, while Inspector Paul Reidy sought a two week adjournment.
Judge O’Brien granted the request and remanded the accused in custody until July 14 next to appear via video link at limerick District Court.
