IT has happened to all of us. What do you do when it is Saturday night and you’re looking for a few late drinks somewhere comfortable and in the city centre, yet away from nightclub chaos?
The options can be few and far between, well that is, until now. ‘Supper Lounge’ at the Cornstore is a new Saturday night offering in Limerick’s stylish Manhattan-feel restaurant located on Limerick’s Thomas Street. After 10.30pm every Saturday resident DJ Leonie McMeel kranks up the decks and dusts off some old retro favourites from Marvin Gaye to Nina Simone, and Moloko to Motown, setting the mood dial to funky and soulful.
Coupled with Leonie’s retro beats and the Cornstore’s extensive cocktail, beer and wine lists, the Supper Lounge even has its own menu of light bites and picky pieces to keep you going if you feel like a bite to eat.
The Supper Lounge happens every Saturday from 10.30pm at The Cornstore and promises to be a “welcome addition” to the city’s Saturday nightlife.
