Performance art camps through CentreStage

CENTREstage Theatre School is running its performing arts 2011 summer camps in June and July based at two venues, UCH and in town at St Alphonsus Street’s CentreSPACE.  Having trained thousands of children over the years in acting, singing and drama skills, you can count on excellent instruction by qualified teachers and performers under the direction of Richie Ryan ALCM, BA.
The first camp to open is Teen Acting on Monday June 27 until Saturday July 2, with a performance concluding the six days on July 2. The show this year is William Shakespeare’s ‘A Mid Summer Night’s Dream’.

On July 4, it’s the week for Teen Singing Camp and Workshop. It is going to base the week on ‘Carousel – The Musical’ and again, there will be a performance on the final day given by the students,  Saturday July 9.
Then a two week camp for secondary school students called Camp Broadway will open on Monday July 11, running until Sunday July 24 from 9.30am to 5pm daily. The performance of ‘We Will Rock You – The Queen Musical’ falls on Sunday July 24.
Another two week camp, Camp Kreative, opens on Monday July for children aged 8 years to 12 years. Their theme musical is going to be Willy Wonka, keeping everyone busy and happy until Sunday July  24.
Camp Shining Stars will capture the attention span of kids aged 5 to 7 years for a week, working the hip show ‘Glee – the Musical’. Choose between a series of successive dates for this summer camp for small children: Monday July 11 to Friday 15 and starting again Monday July 18. The end of week Glee performances will take place on Friday July 5 and Friday July 22.
