Limerick taught a lesson by Kerry

-

LIMERICK footballers were taught a lesson by Kerry at the Gaelic Grounds in the Munster Senior football championship on Saturday night. The Kingdom routed the Shannonsiders 1-26 to 3-9 in a one sided affair. Limerick were missing the influential Croom duo of John Galvin and Stephen Lucey and it showed. From start to finish Kerry dominated, with a display of football which will send a warning shot to their Sam Maguire rivals. For more on the game read below. By the way, PFP means point from point from play.

Limerick v Kerry MSFC Semi Final 4/6/11 @ Gaelic Grounds

The first notable interest of the night is that Donie Buckley is named as a coach on the Kerry team sheet. Buckley, one of the most revered coaches in the game was a coach of Limerick for the last five years under the tenure of Mickey Ned O’Sullivan.

Another note to mention is that Limerick are wearing all white in a change from tradition, where both counties would wear green.
