SHANNON singer / songwriter, David Hope releases a new EP ‘Hell or High Water’ with his new band, David Hope and The Henchmen this weekend in Lahinch. The new EP was produced by legendary guitarist and producer, Declan Sinnott (Moving Hearts / Horslips / Christy Moore). The Henchmen’s sound is described by the band as “steeped in vintage country blues, foot-stompin’ American mountain folk, a pinch of alt.country twang and all soaked in a distinctly Irish whiskey flavour.”
On the ‘Hell or High Water’ EP David Hope’s gritty and gravel-like voice soars over the band’s rootsy, melodic musicianship. As fresh as a westerly summer breeze, Dave Hope’s music is so effortlessly natural and authentic, I can think of no better backdrop to this music than the sound of waves crashing onto the Lahinch shoreline.
David Hope and The Henchmen launch the new EP at Kenny’s Bar, Lahinch this Friday, May 20 with support on the night from Limerick band, Seneca.
