American Chamber welcomes Gilt Groupe

THE American Chamber of Commerce Ireland has welcomed the announcement by the Gilt Groupe that it is to establish its International HQ in Dublin and a Customer Support Centre in Limerick.

Speaking on the announcement American Chamber Chief Executive Joanne Richardson said; “The decision by the Gilt Groupe to choose Ireland for these two high calibre investments is a welcome endorsement in Ireland as a location for Foreign Direct Investment. Ireland has a strong track record in both software development and world class customer services, and I am sure Gilt Groupe will enjoy positive experiences in both areas”.

Circle Oil finds gas in Morocco

Limerick-headquartered oil and gas group Circle Oil has announced the successful drilling and testing of an exploration well in Morocco.
It also confirmed a gas discovery at its main Intra Hoot target.
The AIM-listed company said its KSR-11 well in Morocco’s Rharb basin has been completed and will be available for future production.
“We tested this well at a small restricted choke size and it still achieved a good flow rate with very quick pressure build up,” chief executive Prof Chris Green said.
“The second drilling campaign has been very successful and we have increased our ability to both supply gas and incrementally increase our resources in line with the business plan for the area.”
