LIMERICK Writers’ Centre’s monthly reading and open-mic session ‘On the Nail’ falls next on Thursday April 7. Old friends to LWC Susan Miller DuMars and Michael Farry are the invited guest writers to read their work at host venue Locke Bar, 8pm. Miller Dumars teaches creative writing at various Galway venues, we’re told. She published her first full book of short stories in December of last year, The Book Lights In The Distance (Doire Press).
Michael Farry trained in St Patrick’s Training College, Drumcondra and has been published in a number of small magazines, commended and shortlisted in poetry competitions. He’s a founder member of Boyne Writers Group.
“Everyone is invited to take part in the open-mic after the main event, poets, storytellers, musicians and writers,” says Dominic Taylor of Limerick Writers’ Centre. The night begins at 8pm and admission is free. So join us at Locke Bar and make this event something special”.
