Limerick bands set to rock for Bialystok

THE MAYOR of Bialystok, Poland is giving a Limerick band a fantastic opportunity to play in front of 30,000 fans at the town’s Juwenalia Rock Festival in May.
An impromptu meeting between former Limerick resident, Rainer Lindheim and the Mayor of Bialystok has led to this exciting g opportunity.
Organiser of the event, Limerick man, Adrian Cunningham explained:

 

“Rainer met with the mayor one night and convinced him to sponsor a Limerick band coming over”.
The winning band will get an all expenses paid trip to Poland to play in front of up to 30,000 people.
“We’re looking for original, energetic and exciting rock bands from the Limerick area to enter this band competition which offers a super prize.

“Heats will be held in Limerick on April 5, 12, 19 and the final of the competition will be on April 26,” said Adrian..
The winning band will be flown from Dublin to Warsaw on May 18 and flown back on May 22.

Any bands interested in entering the competition should send two tracks and a full bio to [email protected] by midnight on Monday March 28th 2011.
“We’re very surprised and delighted with the number of strong applicants so far.- It’s a great opportunity for Limerick bands and the organisers have personally guaranteed them a great time,” enthused Adrian.

Richard Dowling – WAV Mastering – competition judge, Patryk Pugawko – Bialystok native studying in LIT Mayor of Limerick, Maria Byrne, Adrian Cunningham – The Production Office – promoter Rock To Bialystok and David Keary – Red Door Productions – competition judge launching Rock to Bialystok Competition to take place at Dolan’s in April where the winner will win a trip to feature in the Juwenalia Festival, one of Poland’s oldest festivals held in Bialystok, the largest city in North-Eastern Poland at the end of May.
