Update from Jason Kenny of Forever Fit Promotions:
Amanda and Janet completed their first complete week of personal training and while the week started off moderately discussing any injuries and developing basic technique, it is a progress regime that will become harder and harder as the weeks go on. They were given a big welcome by the staff at the University Sports Arena, and some positive encouragement by Alan Ward.
This week we did cardio and core tests, following on to do some resistance training. Each of the girls have been given a routine to follow at home so on the days that they are not training in the gym with myself they can continue improving their levels of fitness at home. Both Amanda and Janet are very determined in achieving their goals and are more than willing to make the efforts in doing so.
Next week we will introduce some High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and an introduction to some light weights to help tone and strengthen the body and my magic formula for shifting that stubborn weight.
Update from Amanda:
Today is Tuesday the 8th of February. My second weigh-in was today. Mareese from Ultimate Health weighed me this morning and I have lost another 4lbs this week. That’s a total of 10lbs in two weeks. I am so thrilled with that result already. Long my it last.
On Saturday myself and Janet met Jason Kenny our personal trainer for the 6 week duration. It was our first time meeting Jason and he was very easy to get along with and very friendly. He just explained to us what the programme involved and what to expect from it. It will not be easy but I’m sure it will be worth every minute. Our first training session will be on Tuesday evening.
Today I had my second colonic irrigation treatment with Caroline of Ultimate Health. It was great because after a treatment I am full of energy which is exactly what I needed this evening because I had my first training session with Jason in the University of Limerick Gym. Jason started us off on the bike to check our fitness levels. He also gave us a programme to do at home in between the Gym sessions. He wasn’t too hard on us today as it was our first session. I would say he has a lot of work planned out for us though. That is exactly what I need combined with the colonics and the diet. All the encouragement I am receiving from Ultimate Health really keeps me going and motivated. I call into Ultimate Health a few times a week and the girls are always at the end of the phone.
I have been drinking plenty of water and I find that the colon cleansing capsules are great which you get from Ultimate health when you are undergoing colonics.
That’s my week 2 done now so on to week 3 and will tell you all about that next week.
Until then…
Mandy.
Update from Janet:
MON 7th: Hard day today the smell of food in work had me longing especially for hot buttered toast and sausages. Must be the time of the month, stuck to detox but it was the first time I thought about cheating but resisted, hoping this will pass. Tomorrow should boost me with the gym and first treatment to encourage me.
TUE 8th: down 7lbs in this first week really pleased with that, glad I stuck to it. Have to stay on detox till Friday as I wasn’t ready for the treatment Caroline asked to leave it another few days but I can add a few things in like tomatoes, cucumber and Weetabix. The gym went well, I learned a lot and will start working out at home from tomorrow following what I learned, back to gym on Thursday evening.
WED 9th: Worked out when I got home from work, Jason’s program is easy to follow. Had a small piece of pork for dinner otherwise stuck to detox.
THUR 10th: The gym was harder this evening but Jason is great to get you motivated and I was happy with what we did. Didn’t have Weetabix waiting till I can have it with milk but I don’t mind the porridge now.
FRI 11th: Had my first treatment to-day. It was a bit uncomfortable but I felt really good after it. Also got new diet sheets from Marese in the clinic so that will add some variety to my diet. Bit sore from the gym so went for a long walk – doing this every second day for the exercises.
SAT 12th: still a bit sore today in the legs but did a workout at home after work and enjoyed it. Went well with my diet it does feel good to eat healthy and once you’re used to cooking from fresh you find the time, it’s all about planning your meals in advance that’s what I find works for me.
SUN 13th: another good day even with me not sleeping much I still feel I’ve plenty of energy. I wake about 5am every morning since I’ve started this. Still enjoying my new diet and looking forward to the next week ahead of me.
