Nissan’s crossover Qashqai sees some changes to the 2011 petrol and diesel models, making them more powerful and cleaner to run at the same time.
Around 40 per cent of buyers opt for the 1.6-litre petrol engine. But as well as upping power from 113bhp to 115bhp, Nissan has now added and optional fuel saving stop start on the engine.
The diesel line-up now benefits from particulate filters, including the 1.5-litre dCi engine, making all units comply with the Euro V emissions regulations. The 1.5-litre diesel’s power is also increased, this time from 105bhp to 108bhp.
Nissan has improved the n-tec trim grade, which now includes Nissan Connect satellite navigation, a colour reversing camera, a panoramic glass roof, privacy glass and 18″ alloy wheels, previously a paid-for option, fitted as standard.
The firm has created an optional Chrome Pack, which adds chrome door handles, chrome fog lamp surrounds and chrome side strips. Inside, the pack also includes door and tailgate entry guards and carpet mats.
The revised Qashqai and Qashqai+2 range will be available at the end of the year. Express your interest to a range of local dealers: Pat Tiernan Nissan, Delta Retail Park and Shanagolden, Lucey Motors Nissan in Charleville and Donal Ryan Motor Group (Nenagh) Ltd, on the Limerick Road .
