IT is speculated that spiritual leader Dalai Lama could visit Limerick during a proposed trip to Ireland in April.
A number of charities, including a Southill community group, banded together, to invite the 1989 Nobel Peace Prize winner to Ireland.
While his planned itinerary has been delayed until early February, it has been suggested that he will visit the troubled Southill housing estate to appeal for peace.
Neil Steepman, chairman of the Tibetian support group, said that while nothing yet had been finalised, the intention was to take in Southill if Limerick was on the agenda.
