Mac3 – of the I Love Hip Hop Crew.

Limerick’s I Love HipHop crew bring a night dedicated to the art of hip hop, showcasing the music, the MCs, the B-boys and B-girls of the genre. The Limrockers will perform jaw dropping acrobatic spins flips and kicks with local DJ’s Mac3, Rainers and Eggz cutting, scratching and dropping the beats on St. Stephens night.

Most embarrassing record purchased?
MC Hammer’s Can’t Touch This
Funniest thing that ever happened at a gig: Driving for three hours to a gig with two record boxes in hand only to find that the club only had CD players, so did a 4 hour set from mixtapes and CD’s from my car, still tore the roof off.
Why do Irish audiences love hip hop? “Hip Hop came from the streets and made it’s way to the studio unlike many artists today who are studio puppets. There is a down to earth connection between musician and listener, not manufactured  just raw emotion which people admire.”
You can hear Mac 3 at myspace.com/mac3foshizle and at the I Love Hip Hop Special Christmas Gig on December 26 in The Loft (upstairs in the Locke bar) with DJs Rainers, Daragh Flynn and Eggz.
