Munster top Irish side to advance in Heineken Cup

JUST days ahead of the second of two Pool 3 deciding clashes with the Ospreys, Munster’s betting to win the Heineken Cup has gone out to 10/1 with odds on Toulouse lifting the coveted trophy narrowing to 5/2 after the French side’s win in Glasgow last weekend. Munster are however, 11/8 to reach the knock-out stages and a win at the Liberty this Saturday will all but cement that position.McGahan’s side is 6/1 to reach the final.

Meantime, Three other teams are forecast to have more success in the elite European tournament as Northampton, Leicester and Biarritz all rank at shorter odds than the men in red.

On the back of a loss to Clermont and with injury worries hanging over them, Ladbrokes have Leinster at 8/1, drifting from 7/1 before last weekend’s games.

Toulouse and Northampton have the magic 3 from 3 and are poised to take to the knockout stages in the upper ranked positions of the draw.

Ulster remain 66/1 to win the competition and are 5/2 to reach the knock out stages.
