Motivating weight loss at every level

“Nothing is impossible if you believe in yourself”. Take it from Geraldine Killoran (43) who lost 3.5stone with one of the 25 Motivation Weight Management Clinics in Ireland. A recent lifestyle study by Slán found that 40 per cent of the Irish population is overweight and 23 per cent is classed as obese. Obesity in Irish children is one of the highest worldwide at 10 per cent.

Dr Maurice Larocque, founder of Motivation Weight Management Clinics programme is based on the human behaviours behind overeating, and in treating the weight loss through evaluation of habit, willpower and underlying causes.

Geraldine Killoran (43) now belongs to the 86 per cent success story of clients attending these nationwide clinics. Her journey began exactly a year ago: “My 13 year old daughter and her little friends were sympathetic to the fact that my Hallowe’en costume make me look absolutely huge. Suddenly I realised that my weight was out of control and that despite how hard I tried I was not equipped to deal with losing it.

“That Friday night on The Late Late Show, a happy and healthy looking gentleman told his story about how the Motivation programme had given him the power to lose weight. In November 2009, I had my first consultation”.

Information, support, empathy and an education in food nutrition flowed towards Geraldine, and she learned the power of positive thinking, which “has affected my husband and children, too”.
A year on, Geraldine Killoran is 3.5 stones lighter and infinitely happier and healthier in her self. Visit www.motivation.ie or Locall 1850 30 6000.
