Two charged with possession of over €170,000 of heroin for sale or supply in Limerick city

TWO men have been charged at a special sitting of Limerick District Court in connection with a major drugs haul in the city over the weekend. 18-year-old Adam Llewelyn, Craeval Park, Moyross and 20-year-old James O’Keefe with an address at Moylish Crescent, Ballynanty, were before judge Tom O’Donnell facing charges in connection with a seizure of over €170,000 worth of heroin

on the Knockalisheen Road last Friday afternoon.

 

The two are charged with the possession of the drug for their own use as well as possession for the sale or supply of heroin.

Sarah Ryan solicitor for the two will make a bail application for the two who were remanded in custody until the next court sitting.

A third man in his 40s will be detained by gardai for a further 72 hours after the same court granted Chief Superintendent Dave Sheehan an extension to continue questioning and carry out further investigations.

Over a dozen gardai are involved in the investigation.
