Over 100 companies sign up for Midwest Showcase

OVER 100 companies and support agencies have signed up to exhibit at the forthcoming Midwest Showcase, a combined seminar and exhibition on entrepreneurship and innovation in the Midwest to be held in Thomond Park on October 21 next as part of Midwest Business Week.
Plato Midwest, a leading business development and support forum for owner managers and a key organiser of the Midwest Showcase is urging companies wishing to exhibit to book their stands at the event as soon as possible as there are limited places remaining.

Eoin Tynan-O’Mahony of Plato Midwest said, “We are delighted with the response which we have had to date to the Midwest Showcase which is a collaborative effort involving Plato, the support agencies and groups who have worked together over the last five months to create this platform for Midwest businesses.  We will have over 120 exhibitors and business people from all over the country are being invited to attend. A wide range of new technologies will also be on display at the Midwest Showcase, including new phone solutions for small businesses developed by Emutex. Last year, Axiom Enterprises invested in Emutex towards the expansion of their products into International markets. Emutex have developed phone solutions which enable small businesses to seamlessly connect their office phones to the outside world using their broadband connection significantly reduce recurring line rental and call charges while availing of features such as conferencing, recording and voicemail by email. John Twomey, MD of Emutex is also one of the keynote speakers at the Showcase. The other speakers include Cathriona Hallahan, MD of Microsoft Europe, Bill Liao, Entrepreneur and Philanthropist, Pádraic Ó Máille, Business Mentor, Joan Mulvihill, CEO of the Irish Internet Association, Gary Fallon of Enterprise Ireland and  Joe Purcell of Mincon whose products are being used in the Chilean Mine rescue.
The Midwest Showcase is supported by the Enterprise Acceleration Centre at LIT, Enterprise Ireland, Shannon Development, Plato Mid West, Supply Network Shannon, Atlantic Way, Shannon, Limerick and Ennis Chambers and the Enterprise Boards of the Midwest.
