IS it time for the attractive free-standing sculpture of Limerick’s historic hero, Patrick Sarsfield to move from relative obscurity to a place in the spotlight?

With plans progressing to restore John’s Square and transform the area facing St John’s Cathedral and the square itself into a civic area that will focus strongly on the arts, public music and dance performances etc, is this not an opportune time to remove the Sarsfield sculpture from its relative obscurity behind the bars of the presbytery adjoining the cathedral?
The Limerick Post is asking readers for their views by stating yes or no.
Result of the poll will be conveyed to Limerick City Council.
