NETWORK Ireland has just announced that Feargal Quinn will be a guest speaker at The Network Ireland Conference and Galway Now Businesswomen of the Year Awards hosted by Network Galway in the Galway Bay Hotel on Friday October 8. Not only will he be speaking but he will also be filming part of his Retail Therapy series for RTÉ One at the event. Feargal has been working with Standún in Spiddal, Co. Galway for the last few months. He is helping the store to rebrand itself in preparation for a relaunch in November. The series will be on air at the beginning of 2011 and we will be filming over the next six months.
Feargal Quinn’s Retail Therapy is a six part series for RTÉ One where retail innovator Feargal Quinn offers advice to retailers who are struggling to stay afloat in the current economic climate. The series is looking to champion independent Irish retailers who represent individuality on the streets of Ireland’s towns and cities. Feargal is passionate about helping businesses who are putting it up to the multinationals and offering Irish consumers something different than they would get anywhere else in the world. Feargal will help these businesses to eradicate their weaknesses, exploit their strengths and identify a unique selling point which will make them stand out from the competition and attract customers to their door.
Last year’s series was a great ratings success and the businesses involved have reported an improvement in both sales and staff morale as a result of their involvement in the programme.
Network Ireland is hosting their national conference and awards in Galway this October reminding business people that ‘Believers are Achievers’. In these challenging economic times, business people need hope and encouragement more than ever. This is what Network Ireland hopes to achieve with its exceptional line up for this year’s National Conference with a wide range of speakers such as Jack Black, Deirdre Bounds Veronica Canning and Senator David Norris as MC. MS Ireland is the Network Ireland Charity of the Year 2010.
Commenting on the announcement, Anne Hession, president of Network Ireland said “We are delighted to have Feargal Quinn as a guest speaker at our conference & awards. Feargal became a millionaire in Ireland’s last deep recession during the 1980s. It is during these years that he really learnt his skills as a retail street fighter. He really embodies this year’s conference theme that “Believers are Achievers”.
