International Day of Older People
THE Sonas group at Croom’s Family Resource Centre will host a fundraising tea party with Age Action Ireland on Thursday, September 30, 11am. It’s about bringing senior citizens together in the spirit of celebration and will mark the UN International Day of Older People. Expect information talks by Limerick Citizens Information Service and by Money Advice and Budgeting Service.

Walkers mobilise with heart

AS European Mobility Week ran from September 16 to 23 last, Limerick Walking Association backed City Council’s information booth that was on Bedford Row last Saturday.
LWA also hosts a mobility exercise at 11.30am at Na Piarsaigh GAA Club prior to its walks which will be the first of the 2010 Heart Foundation Walks for World Heart Day, on this Sunday September 26.
